About the Author(s)

Professor David Macdonald is Director of Oxford University's Wildlife Conservation Research Unit and A.D. White Professor at Cornell University. He is also vice-chairman of the European Society of Mammalogists. Macdonald is a successful documentary filmmaker and has won the Natural History Author of the Year award twice. He resides in Oxfordshire, England.
