About the Author(s)
William Baker is Presidential Research Professor at Northern Illinois University. He holds a joint appointment with the university library system and the department of English. He is the author, coauthor, or editor of more than 20 books, including Harold Pinter: A Bibliographical History, which was selected as a Choice "Outstanding Academic Title, 2006." He also edits George Eliot–George Henry Lewes Studies and is coeditor of The Year's Work in English Studies.
