Summary
Science Experiments On File ™, Volume 3 is a collection of 60 outstanding new experiments for the science classroom, covering the core fields of biology, chemistry, Earth science, environmental science, physics, astronomy, and weather and climate.
These clearly designed experiments give science teachers new and refreshing ways to help students grasp key science concepts as they are defined by the national science standards. To help students understand how scientists reached their conclusions, each unit also contains a section that encourages students to design and carry out their own experiments, giving them the opportunity to think like scientists. Teachers can find answers to the analysis questions in "Our Findings," a section of the appendix that provides sample data as well as answers to questions. New in this volume are suggestions for classroom discussions that can be held before or after each lab to help students integrate what they have learned into their own experiences.
